ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder): This term was previously used to describe individuals who struggled with inattention, distractibility, and difficulty staying focused on tasks. However, in recent years, the term has evolved, and the clinical diagnosis is now typically referred to as ADHD, which encompasses two main subtypes: Predominantly Inattentive Presentation and Combined Presentation (inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity).

ADHD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder): ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that significantly impair a person's functioning or development. Young adults with ADHD may find it challenging to concentrate, complete tasks, follow instructions, and manage their impulses.

An "ADD and ADHD Coach" is a trained professional who specializes in helping individuals with ADD or ADHD develop strategies and skills to manage their symptoms effectively. These coaches work with young adults to improve their time management, organization, planning, and coping skills. They provide guidance and support to help individuals with ADD or ADHD navigate challenges related to education, work, and daily life. The goal is to empower these young adults to reach their full potential and lead successful, fulfilling lives.

Coaching for ADD and ADHD can include techniques such as setting goals, breaking tasks into manageable steps, improving time management, enhancing organizational skills, and providing emotional support to help individuals overcome the unique challenges associated with these conditions. The coach's role is to understand the individual's specific needs and work collaboratively to develop strategies that promote personal growth and success.
